Tips and Tricks: Offense Defense Mode
Offense Defense Mode is a game mode in Grand Theft Auto V [GTA 5] that involve three roles but two teams. The first role that being the Runner. As the runner, the player must bring the vehicle to the other side without losing the car. In a sense, the Runner is the one that “moves the payload”. For those playing on offense, these are the players who are trying to knock the car off the track. Blockers or the defenders prevent the offense from throwing the vehicle off course.
To easily win in Offense Defense or at least have an easier time, some tips and tricks below may help:
Stay in Contact with one another
Communication is vital in this game especially when trying to block the other car. As it’s the players’ objective to block the Runner, communication will help the team have eyes on everything. Another is that the Blockers can also lead the other Runners astray, leaving one’s Runner to make it to the finish line.
Runner: Take different routes
Staying one step ahead of one’s opponent will definitely benefit the Runner in the long run. As they will anticipate what path the Blockers will head to, the Runner can take another pathway. As they take another pathway, they also have to make sure that their vehicle can cross the terrain they’re going over.
Runner and Blocker: Use Speed Boosts
Having Speed Boosts allows the Runner to outstrip the Blockers. Several different tactics can throw the Blockers off course such as using the bumpers to increase the speed. If one can, taking sharp corners can throw Blockers into the wall. This opens a chance for the runner to have a get away.
For Blockers, this will give you a comfort zone to find out where the Runner is heading. Using this trick, you can also cut off the enemy Runner from making it to the check point.
