This article contains tips and tricks in winning in Power Play. This game mode is available in Grand Theft Auto V [GTA 5].
Tips and Tricks: Power Play
Power Play is an Adversary mode that was added as part of the Grand Theft Autho Online: Further Adventures in Finance and Felony update. This adversary mode is just like that of a deathmatch where players fight each other to the death and the last man standing will be declared the winner.
The Power Play has six different power-ups which are:
- Beasted – transform you into a beast granting special abilities that include super strength and super jump as well as invisibility.
- Dark – when picked up, the icons of the team from the map will be hidden.
- Doped – you will dope the enemies vision making their screens have colored shades and ripple.
- Flipped – the controls of your enemies’ camera will be reversed.
- Raging – the enemy team will have reduced damage while increasing your own team’s.
- Zoned – time will be slowed for all the players.
Know Your Power-ups
The game has six power-ups in total that you can pick-up at any location in the map you’re currently playing. The power-up will spawn anywhere on the map. It is very important that you should know what to do with each power-up as you would potentially waste one if you just sit around and do nothing with it or do something but not taking the full advantage of the power up. One example of this would be having doped the enemy team and still playing defensively. If you had knowledge of what the doping power-up would do, it would mean that the enemies’ vision are severely altered allowing you superiority in that term.
Taking Advantage of Your Power-ups
Take advantage of your power-ups and use their full potential to win yourself the game. Like for example the beasted power-up, it will give you super strength and super jump with invisibility. This means that you can easily close-up to your enemies and kill them from behind. Try to be aggressive as possible when the power-up is in effect as you can super jump to your enemy and bash them in without them noticing as you are in the same time, invisible.
Defending Against Enemy with Power-ups
Knowing what to do against enemies equipped with power-ups is also key in winning the game. One example would be again the beast power-up that your opponent has picked up. When you notice them being beasted, it would be best to avoid the combat as they are pretty much at a most advantageous position compared to your current state. Knowing when you have the advantage over the power-up of the enemy would also be key. Like for example taking the doping power-up would allow you to even safely hide yourself for enemies equipped with the beasted power-up.
