This page contains news on the All-New Alola Photo Club for Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon. It includes the revealed details and mechanics for the game.

Alola Photo Club

One of the new features to debut in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon is the All-New Alola Photo Club. It appears to be a combination of the following mechanics: How to use Trainer Customization, How to use Poke Refresh, and How to use Poke Finder. The Photo Club allows Trainers to avail of Photoshoots. Thi will take pictures of their in-game Trainer models alongside their chosen Pokemon species companion.

At the moment, there are various speech balloons to express the Trainer or the Pokemon’s feelings. Feel free to add these to your pictures to amplify emotions. This can range from surprise, sadness, love, embarrassment, tension, happiness, or disappointment.

The possibilities are endless thanks to various options. Try the Photo Club to craft greeting cards by adding Birthday Greetings, or celebrating a successful Training.

Alola Photo Club: Visiting the Booth

A photo booth was shown during the September 22 Trailer. The facade shows a big red building, similar in color scheme to the Festival Plaza booths with the exception of having a more elaborate design. These are indicated by the huge star on the top side of the entrance, with a camera symbol stamped on the center. Unfortunately, the actual name for these buildings and their locations in-game are currently unknown.

Once you enter the Photo Shoot you will be given a set of elements to customize. At the moment, the possible Models include the Pokemon and Trainer, which is the default Trainer and the companion. Next selection is the Pokemon, which will appear on-screen if the Trainer will satisfy the selection conditions for Models and Pokemon. The following option is the Background or backdrop. For the meantime, it might be that the Background available will depend on the areas explored by the protagonist. It is also possible to select the Composition which is likely the Stance and direction the Models will be facing. Finally, Trainers get to choose the Outfit. It is currently unknown if costumes can be rented or if it will include Photo Shoot exclusive ones.

The next Screenshot from the Official website shows multiple sliders and tools. The photo above illustrates a synchronized pose between the male trainer and his Lucario in order to capture a Training Session. It is, therefore, possible to have the Pokemon emulate the Trainer by choosing similar poses. The interface includes multiple colored options to tailor to the Trainer’s preference. Details on what these symbols designate are unfortunately unavailable at this time.

As shown in the trailer, you may decorate the image with Stickers to construct borders or add effects. This new feature will also offer Trainers a chance to come up with creative designs. To do this, add traditional Speech balloons to create comical effects.

As you can see the trailer demonstrates multiple poses compatible with the Photo Club. It shows the Pokemon Trainer performing the Normalium-Z pose with his partner Rowlett performing an Attack animation. Another photo shows the Fightinium-Z pose to illustrate a Training Session with their Pokemon.
