What is Carvanha?

Carvanha is a Pokemon from Hoenn and one of the first Water/ Dark type Pokemon. Once this Pokemon evolves, it will evolve into Sharpedo who’s known for its high Attack power and Speed. The Pokemon by itself can also be an intimidating foe with the Rough Skin ability, damaging enemies who attack with physical skills against it. Also, after around 30 SOS calls, players can also catch this Pokemon with Speed Boost which raises its Speed by one stage each turn.

How to find Carvanha

Carvanha appears commonly in Poni Island. However, as a rare Pokemon, it doesn’t appear as commonly as the others. It takes sometime before this Pokemon will appear. In the old games, it needed to be bred out from a Sharpedo. However, players in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon can now fish for this Pokemon in Poni Island. If players spot any bubbling spots, take your chances there as this Pokemon’s spawn rates increase in those kinds of spots.
