What is Castform?

Castform is a unique Pokemon with a signature ability “Forecast.” This ability allows it to change its typing depending on the current weather. When there is no weather present during battle, it maintains the Normal typing. It has access to various kinds of moves that grant coverage against multiple Pokemon types.

Where do you find Castform?

Castform can be found in several tall grasses scattered in various islands.

• Akala Island – Lush Jungle
• Ula’ula Island – Malie Garden, Tapu Village, Route 17, Haina Desert
• Poni Island – Exeggutor Island, Lanakila Mountain

Despite having multiple locations in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, its encounter rate is moderately small. Search patiently in order to find it.

If the weather condition present in one of the following locations mentioned above is either “rain, snow, or sandstorm,” the Pokemon may summon Castform through an SOS call.
