Strategy
Strategy for 1st and 2nd HP Bars
- If you have the Flame Vent prosthetic tool, you can throw a bottle of oil at the boss and use the flame tool to stun him for a few seconds. The stun time will let you attack several times. Be careful while attacking the boss, as it will not hesitate to move while attacking.
- Wait for the enemy to attack from a distance. You can slash twice before he has a chance to recover.
- The Chained Ogre’s attacks can be avoided with a back step. However, there are certain moves that cannot be avoided with a single back step, so you will need to perform two or three.
- Its attack range is wide and its jumping attacks can be quite dangerous. Stop attacking the boss when it charges a powerful attack and dodge.

DANGER Grab (Standing) |
A powerful attack where the boss grabs Sekiro and throws him. |
DANGER Grab (Lunging) |
Same as the standing grab, but the boss lunges forward to grab Sekiro. Has a wide horizontal range. |
Drop Kick | Chained Ogre jumps and swings his feet at Sekiro. Its vertical range is wide but its horizontal range is narrow. Dodge the attack and Sekiro will be free to counter. |
Smash | The boss smashes his fists into the ground. The attack has a narrow area of effect, so you can easily dodge and launch a counterattack. |
Elbow Drop | Chained Ogre falls backward and drops an elbow in front of Sekiro. Can be avoided by dodging sideways. Avoid it and you will be free to attack. |
Consecutive Kicks | The boss performs three kicks, first with the right foot, followed by the left, then a forward kick that tracks Sekiro’s current position. |
