Bill & Ben Rematch Strategies
Here is a breakdown of the battle strategies against the boss:
Setup your AI Battle Strategy
Target | Other Enemies |
---|---|
Tactics | Protection is Paramount |
Moves | Use moves without MP falling to 50% |
Class Strikes | Do not use Class Strikes |
Healing Items | Leave at least 5 of each items in stock |
You will face one boss in the first half of the battle. Then, they will separate when their HP turns half. We advise you assign one of your AI companions to each boss.
Cast Buffs
Cast buffs to yourself and your party members. These buffs can be in the form of attack increase (Power Up), defense increase (Protect Up), and magic & magic increase (Mind Up). They can be accessed as innate abilities or consumable items.
Use Light Elemental Magic Only
The boss has strong resistance to elemental attacks except for Light. Your damage will start out small but it will increase over time as you break their barriers.
Break Blue Vases to Replenish CS Gauges
Breaking all blue vases around the area in order to to fill-up your CS gauges.
Land Debuffs
Land multiple debuffs to the boss enemies. Debuffs can be in the form of attack decrease (Power Down), defense decrease (Protect Down), and magic & magic defense decrease (Mind Down). These debuffs can be accessed as innate abilities or consumable items.
Keep Moving
The pair makes use of ranged skills which can all be dodged by jumping and rolling. Your best bet is to stick to the pair’s side or back. For now, save your Class Strikes for later.
Heal Allies
Sometimes, you may find the boss focusing on your party members instead of you. Don’t be afraid to use healing skills or items to bring their health back.
Launch Tier 1 and Tier 2 Class Strikes
After the boss splits up, punish one of them with a class strike to take away a chunk of his health. The boss will start using a new attack, Shadow Menace. Avoid it like you would have done on his more common ranged attacks. Continue to focus on one of them until he’s knocked out. The remainder should be relatively easier since you no longer have to deal with two attacks coming at you.
