Guide on How to Defeat Beast Ludgar
Ludgar is one of the bosses that you need to defeat in Trials of Mana Remake. He belongs to the beast race and known for being Ferolia’s mightiest guards. The boss is encountered at the top of the mountain during their mission in Chartmoon Tower.

Beast Ludgar Skills
|Melee Swipe||Ludgar’s common attack. He swipes the enemy with his claws.|
|Abyssal Slice||Ludgar strikes the enemy and then finishes them off with a somersault.|
|Counter Attack||Ludgar aims at the enemy in a straight line and then retaliates.|
|Suzaku Aerial||Ludgar exits the area and then an area of effect appears and comes after you. The damage causes severe damage.|
|Moon Saber||Ludgar absorbs the enemy’s health.|
|Seiryu Strike||Ludgar’s body begins to glow and then unleashes an area of effect.|
|Burning Rage||Ludgar becomes enraged and causes more 50% damage than normal.|

Focus on Hitting Blind Spots
Beast Ludgar excels in attacking from the front so your best bet is to get behind him. Head to the side or go around to his back and punish him with attacks.
Cast multiple debuffs against the boss. Debuffs can be in the form of attack decrease (Power Down), defense decrease (Protect Down), and magic & magic defense decrease (Mind Down). These debuffs can be accessed as innate abilities or consumable items.
Cast buffs to yourself and your party members carefully while engaging Beast Ludgar. These buffs can be in the form of attack increase (Power Up), defense increase (Protect Up), and magic & magic increase (Mind Up). They can be accessed as innate abilities or consumable items.
Keep Moving and Dodging
The boss can make use of Suzaku Aerial, a skill that tracks his enemy. Time your dodge the moment the boss stops chasing you.
Use Light Elemental and Summon Magic
Beast Ludgar has strong resistance to elemental attacks except for Light. You can also damage it by using Summon Magic.
Launch Tier 1 and Tier 2 Class Strikes
Use Class Strikes to deal more damage to Beast Ludgar. Switch among your party members to unleash multiple barrages of class strikes.
Break Blue Vases to Replenish CS Gauges
Breaking all blue vases around the area in order to to fill-up your CS gauges.
When Ludgar’s health falls significantly, he turns ballistic and causes more damage. While fighting him, make sure to heal your companions immediately after sustaining damage. Continue firing off some attacks while keeping distance.
