Guide on How to Defeat Fiegmund

Fiegmund is one of the Benevodons that you need to defeat in Trials of Mana Remake. Fiegmund represents the Water element and appears like a giant humanoid sea monster. The battle gets tricky because of the field consisting of slippery floors. You can encounter Fiegmund in the Labyrinth of Ice.

Fiegmund Skills

Fiegmund has a charge attack with Icicle and can send them flying a turn after.

Claw Slash The boss will lunge forward and execute a claw attack against you.
Spike Freeze Fiegmund will target your location and shoot giant icicles.
Ice Crystal Another ice magic attack using ice chunks. It will hit enemies ahead of it.
Icicle Fiegmund will send multiple icicles from the ceiling targeting random locations of the arena.
Frozen Crack Fiegmund will drop two or three special icicles that have their own HP bar. Hit the icicles until the HP bar is depleted. Then, you will knock out the boss.
Dive Bomb Fiegmund  jumps over the area after moving out of the arena.

Once you acquire ??? seeds, return to the Sanctuary of Mana and plant them in the magic pot near the gold mana statue. Check if the class change items are the ones you desire. If they are, visit the special mana statue and change to Tier 3 Classes. If not, we suggest holding it for now until you get the class change items you desire since it takes time to acquire class reset items.

Cast Buffs

Cast buffs to yourself and your party members carefully while engaging Fiegmund. These buffs can be in the form of attack increase (Power Up), defense increase (Protect Up), and magic & magic increase (Mind Up). They can be accessed as innate abilities or consumable items.

Break Blue Vases to Replenish CS Gauges

Break all blue vases around the area in order to to fill-up your CS gauges and use Class Strikes again.

Target the Icicles

Fiegmund makes use of icicles and follows-up with Ice Cradle to unleash a wide-ranged magic attack. If you can break the icicles that landed on the floor before it gets the chance to use Ice Cradle, you can deny it from using the area of effect. Without the icicles, Fiegmund temporarily falls to the ground so use the opportunity to close in and use class strikes.

Use Fire Elemental and Summon Magic

If you ran out of CS gauges, make use of elemental or summon magic to damage Fiegmund. If you have Angela in your party, kite the boss from a distance using Fire magic. If you ran out of MP, consume a Faerie Walnut or switch to another party member.

Capitalize the earth enchant in your weapons and use your hardest-hitting class strikes against the boss. Then, follow up with another class strike from your other party member.
