Zehnoa Strategies
Here is a breakdown of the battle strategy against the boss:
Setup your AI Battle Strategy
Target | Other Enemies |
---|---|
Tactics | Protection is Paramount |
Moves | Use moves without MP falling to 50% |
Class Strikes | Do not use Class Strikes |
Healing Items | Leave at least 5 of each items in stock |
There will be summoned enemies in this battle so we advise your AI companions to deal with them first before supporting you against the boss itself.
Land Debuffs
Land multiple debuffs to the boss enemy at the start of the battle. Debuffs can be in the form of attack decrease (Power Down), defense decrease (Protect Down), and magic & magic defense decrease (Mind Down). These debuffs can be accessed as innate abilities or consumable items.
Cast Buffs
Follow-up the debuffs with multiple buffs to your party members. Buff moves can be in the form of attack increase (Power Up), defense increase (Protect Up), and magic & magic increase (Mind Up). These buffs can be also accessed as innate abilities or consumable items.
Use Water Elemental and Summon Magic
Use water elemental magic or items to damage the boss from a distance. Also, it will disable the boss from using fire-based moves for a while.
Break Blue Vases to Replenish CS Gauges
Apart from dealing damage, you can also build up your party’s CS gauges by breaking nearby blue vases. Just make sure that you will break only a sufficient amount of vases enough to fill-up the gauges.
Enchant Melee Weapon with Water Element
If you have access to Water Saber or Poseidon Claw, enchant your melee characters’ weapon with Water element to deal more damage to the boss. Elemental weapon enchants can be acquired from Item Seeds or through the Merchant Town Beiser’s Night Market.
Use Aerial Attacks or Combos
In order to keep your position, deal continuous aerial attacks to combos to the boss until it repels you. This will also help build up your CS gauge over time.
Launch Tier 2 Class Strikes
Capitalize the water enchant in your weapon and use your hardest-hitting class strikes against the boss. Then, switch to your other party members and use their tier 2 class strikes in sequence.
Get Familiar with the Trap Markers
If you got thrown to the back by Repel, make sure to avoid trap markers. You’ll find the trap markings covering the area right before its attack lands.
Avoid the Traps
When you see the marks, move out of the way and also keep in mind to not trigger the traps while dodging. From the back, run through the middle safe zone. Then, move sideways when you’re in the middle of the arena. Lastly, cross the east or west corner to reach the front area of the boss again.
