The Destiny 2 Crucible game mode will not be readily available when you first start out Destiny 2. You will need to do and finish a certain part of the campaign in the game. You must complete the third mission of the story mode, Spark in the story mode. After successfully completing the mission, you must talk to Lord Shax found inside the barn to claim your reward and start the Crucible game mode. But be reminded that the Crucible’s features are not all yet fully unlocked. You must first reach higher levels to compete in other challenges.
Destiny 2 Crucible
The Crucible game mode can be played by four players against another team composition of four. The game does not support three versus three nor six versus six. Bungee has also made it clear that the free for all game mode will no longer be available for the Crucible game mode.
The Crucible game mode has five types of mode in its own.
- Clash
- Supremacy
- Survival
- Control
- Countdown
Each game mode has its own unique gameplay and as such, you must master the game type accordingly so that you can output the best result for your guardian to work with. All game types have Power Ammo that spawn in an exact location in the map that does not depend on the game type. These power ammos are the key for your harass and control of the game map. Some power ammo respawn in a neutral location while the two are spawned on both sides of the map for each team. Remember that Crucible is a game mode played by a set of four players so be sure to keep your cool and your team coordinated so you can vanquish your foes and win the game!
