FF7 Remake - Hoodlums

The Hoodlums are a group of thugs encountered near the end of Chapter 3: Home Sweet Slum. They wield knives, firearms, and explosives.

Name Details
Wild Stab The Hoodlum will swing his knife at the target. Has short range.
Kick The Hoodlum will attack the target from behind, especially when the target is focused on another Hoodlum. Causes knockback.
Open Fire The Hoodlum will shoot the target with his machinegun that does multiple hits.
Grenade The Hoodlum will lob a grenade at the target. Has small AoE range.


Be careful not to expose your back when any of the Hoodlums are near as they like to perform a powerful kick from behind. Use Fire to build up their stagger gauge. It is recommended to have the Hoodlums clump together when using magic to hit as many of them with a single cast.

When a Hoodlum’s HP gets low, he will use a drug that prevents him attack from staggering him and will not be interrupted easily. Magic will, however, still knock him down.
