Can you use the PS4 version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake for PS5?
Intergrade is a standalone version of FF7 Remake for the PS5 that you can purchase physically or digitally. There is no need for you to have the PS4 version to play it.
If you have the physical disc or digital version of FF7 Remake on the PS4 and already own a PS5, you can download a free PS5 enhancement update. Note that this does not include Episode INTERmission which is purchased as a separate DLC.
Will my save data from the PS4 version be carried over to the PS5 version?
Absolutely! A patch update for the game will be available for the PS4 version that adds a new option on the menu. You can then choose to carry over your save data from the PS4 version to the PS5 version.
You have to download the new patch update first using an internet connection. Note that if you have a physical copy of FF7 Remake on the PS4 and own the digital version of the PS5 console (non-disc model), you will not be able to download the PS5 enhancement patch. You will, however, be able to import your save data if you buy the digital version of Intergrade.
Will there be different versions of the game?
The Standard Edition of Intergrade is available as a physical disc and digital download version. The Digital Deluxe Edition, meanwhile, can be purchased on the PlayStation Store.
The Digital Deluxe Edition contains a digital mini soundtrack, including Yuffie’s theme called “Descendant of Shinobi.” The package also comes with a digital art book that features different official concepts, production, and promotional artworks from the game.
