Combat Mechanic Exclusive to Yuffie and Sonon

Yuffie uses a unique combat style with the Shuriken as her weapon of choice. This compliments Sonon’s staff-based attacks which makes for good teamwork.

Since Sonon cannot be controlled, you can only use command skills and give him orders during a battle. He can, however, coordinate his attacks with Yuffie to perform powerful synergized moves to deal damage to enemies.

How to Perform Synergized Attacks

If Yuffie and Sonon both have available ATB, pressing L2 will allow the pair to initiate a synergy attack. Yuffie and Solon will team up and perform a special synchronized attack that can easily stagger foes.

Note that Yuffie and Sonon must both be active during battle to execute synergy attacks. You cannot perform them if one or the other has been knocked out.
