PS4 Exclusivity Period Adjusted in Line with Delayed Launch
Final Fantasy 7 Remake’s one-year exclusivity period on the PlayStation 4 has been pushed back following the game’s delayed launch. The highly-anticipated title was originally launching this year for the PS4 on March 3rd but was changed to April 10th. Because of this, it seems that the game will now be available for other platforms on April 10th, 2021.
The change to Final Fantasy’s exclusivity period can be seen on the game’s box art from Square Enix’s press website. It has apparently been updated to reflect the change brought about by the game’s delayed release on the PS4. Twitter user Wario64, however, previously tweeted the original box art with the old label.
Xbox One and PC players previously looked forward to a port of Final Fantasy 7 Remake coming out on March 3rd, 2021. It now appears that they will have to wait a month more from the initially targeted launch on preferred platforms to play the game.
