What Should We Expect from Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade?
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade (FF7 Remake: Intergrade) takes us across Midgar City yet again in an enhanced and amplified version of the award-winning title coming out on the PlayStation 5 this June 10th, 2021.
The overall experience of the game has been tweaked to include improved lighting, textures, and updated game visuals as new and returning players dive into the world of Intergrade with Cloud and his allies. In addition to enhanced graphics and gameplay, a new story episode has been added which features the materia-hunting ninja Yuffie as a new playable character.

What’s New in Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade?
Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is a PS5-exclusive version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake that pushes the graphical experience of exploring Midgar City to new heights. Among the new features included in the game is “Graphics Mode” which renders the game’s visuals in 4K with HDR support.
Updated Graphics Settings
To enable a smooth 60 FPS gaming experience, Intergrade will also introduce “Performance Mode” which, combined with the DualSense PS5 controller’s haptic feedback integration, will make the game much more immersive.
New Photo Mode
Another new feature called “Photo Mode” will offer a creative way to capture and share memories that you like in the game. This is also the perfect way to have photoshoots with the story’s beloved characters.
New Episode INTERmission with new playable character, Yuffie
The exclusive story episode included in Intergrade titled “Episode INTERmission” follows the adventures of the new playable character, Yuffie Kisaragi. A ninja from Wutai, Yuffie makes her way into the city of Midgar and comes up with a plan to steal the ultimate materia from the Shinra Electric Power Company together with Avalanche.
New story sections, characters, and gameplay mechanics will also be introduced in Episode INTERmission and is only exclusive to the full version of the game on the PS5. This new content will also be available when you upgrade a digital copy on the PS4.
Can you use the PS4 version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake for PS5?
Intergrade is a standalone version of FF7 Remake for the PS5 that you can purchase physically or digitally. There is no need for you to have the PS4 version to play it.
If you have the physical disc or digital version of FF7 Remake on the PS4 and already own a PS5, you can download a free PS5 enhancement update. Note that this does not include Episode INTERmission which is purchased as a separate DLC.
Will my save data from the PS4 version be carried over to the PS5 version?
Absolutely! A patch update for the game will be available for the PS4 version that adds a new option on the menu. You can then choose to carry over your save data from the PS4 version to the PS5 version.
You have to download the new patch update first using an internet connection. Note that if you have a physical copy of FF7 Remake on the PS4 and own the digital version of the PS5 console (non-disc model), you will not be able to download the PS5 enhancement patch. You will, however, be able to import your save data if you buy the digital version of Intergrade.
Will there be different versions of the game?
The Standard Edition of Intergrade is available as a physical disc and digital download version. The Digital Deluxe Edition, meanwhile, can be purchased on the PlayStation Store.
The Digital Deluxe Edition contains a digital mini soundtrack, including Yuffie’s theme called “Descendant of Shinobi.” The package also comes with a digital art book that features different official concepts, production, and promotional artworks from the game.
