[News] Mass Effect Andromeda is getting Free Multiplayer Maps as DLC

It’s official: Mass Effect Andromeda will be getting free Multiplayer maps as DLC.

After days of teasing fans with images and hints about the mode, BioWare studio general manager Aaryn Flynn has confirmed the existence of the free content in a Twitter interview.

BioWare is playing the same game with Andromeda as they did with Mass Effect 3, with the free maps being released after launch. Andromeda will likewise have loot boxes unlockable through cash transactions or through gameplay.

It was previously confirmed last January that the game will not have a Season Pass for DLC.

Mass Effect Andromeda arrives on the Playstation 4, XBox One and PC on March 21. XBox One and PC players have a leg up on their PS4 counterparts though, because they can access a free trial for the game through the EA/Origin Access programs starting March 16.
