TAKARA TOMY Mimikyu Z Crystal
In relation to the Takara TOMY Z Power Ring’s release is the new TAKARA TOMY Mimikyu Z Crystal bundle. Previously, in anticipation of the release of the first two games, it started with Z Ring which dates back to the first line of Pokemon Sun and Moon TOMY Figures. With the advent of the upcoming Z move exclusive to Ultra Sun and Moon Mimikyu, this set features a replica of the Z-Crystal – Mimikium Z. The photo of the product displays a 3DS Screen illustrating Mimikyu about to perform its unnamed signature Z-move.

TAKARA TOMY Mimikyu Z Crystal: The Disguise Pokemon’s Z-move’s First Reveal
At first glance, Mimikyu appears to be another rodent much like Pikachu, Marill, Plusle, Minun, Pachirisu, Emolga, Dedenne, and Togedemaru. However something sinister lurks under its cover which is in contrast to majority of the rodents. It was not until the reveal of the June 2017 Nintendo Direct where Trainers were able to catch a glimpse of the monster underneath that cover in its full glory. No clue currently exists with regard to Mimikyu’s Z-move apart from the revealed animation back in a Nintendo Direct stamped last June 2017 which shows bright red glaring eyes underneath its cover.
TAKARA TOMY Mimikyu Z Crystal: In-game Usage
Judging from the preview of the animation, there’s a high chance that the move used to activate Mimikium Z will be Ghost-Type. In terms of Online Play, this would face a competition in terms of held items slots for the Disguise Pokemon. Mimikyu garnered a consistent usage in the VGC 2017 format with most players pairing it with Snorlax for great synergy. It often has a Ghostium Z intact to remove threats like Tapu Lele and other Mimikyu that prevent it from attaining its full potential in battle. Although the Ghostium Z proved to be flexible in multiple situations, only time will tell if Mimikyu’s new Z-Crystal is worth fitting a slot in favor of higher offensive damage.
