The Nightshade Pulse Rifle is similar to that of its cousin, the Lincoln Green. However, the Nightshade Pulse Rifle appears to have a more “do-or-die” effect and can be a bit unforgiving for beginners in PvP. If players are unable to kill the enemy in a short encounter then, one of the perks of the Nightshade Pulse Rifle is rendered useless. However, this particular Pulse Rifle affects a player’s movement speed. As it has the Lightweight perk, players who value their agility and their stealth often favour this rifle.

How to obtain the Nightshade Pulse Rifle

The Nightshade Pulse Rifle may have a low level of impact but has a high rate of handling and deals quite some damage despite it being low impact. With an ATK of 200, this suits well for those who are always quickly on the move. Often times, this weapon best benefits those who cannot afford to take the damage. Or, for those tanks who wish to catch up quickly. The Nightshade Pulse Rifle may give Tanks a chance to not just ham through the damage. With this rifle, they can also peel away at enemy teams. Hunter-mains may find this weapon the most interesting as it will increase their already high base speed. It also gives them assassin-like capacity, taking down enemies quickly even with a simple backstab.

Unlike the Lincoln Green Pulse Rifle, this particular weapon actually has a legitimate merchant to buy from. Players however need to go through the story for a bit until they unlock Strikes mode. Once they do, players need to approach the Vanguard NPC to be able to perform Vanguard Strikes. Once you do, perform two of any Vanguard Strikes back to back. After that, players need to approach Commander Zavala. When you do, the Nightshade Pulse Rifle will then become available for you to buy.

Unfortunately, the Nightshade Pulse Rifle does not drop in the Crucible. However, it’s quite notable to be one of the earliest legendary weapons that players can procure.
