Remake to Feature More New Characters
Final Fantasy 7 Remake is expected to feature both old and new characters in its modern reimagining of the classic title first released in 1997. Just recently, Square Enix released screenshots of more unfamiliar faces set to debut in the highly-anticipated remake.
The main characters Cloud and Aerith will meet four new characters as they travel to the infamous Wall Market controlled by local crime boss Don Corneo.
First seen in the Theme Song trailer, Andrea Rhodea is the flamboyant manager of the Honey Bee Inn. He is entrusted with screening young girls auditioning to become the “bride” of the lecherous Don Corneo.
In the video, Andrea passionately assists Cloud in the protagonist’s plan to infiltrate the don’s mansion. Cloud’s cross-dressing scene, which is something of an iconic moment in the game for many fans, has been made into quite a spectacle in the remake.
Leslie Kyle is a young man who is described as one of Don Corneo’s lackeys. His outfit and overall appearance suggests that he may be serving the don as his bodyguard or someone who personally handles the dirty work.
Leslie could also be a boss encountered during the story, though this has yet to be confirmed. Interestingly, Skotch and Kotch, Don Corneo’s henchmen from the original game, have not been featured in any released material to date.
The owner of a hand massage parlor in Wall Market, Madam M gives off a refined elegance while being a bit mysterious. She is also revealed to have a keen eye for beautiful girls and is also among those approving “candidates” to be presented to Don Corneo.
Chocobo Sam, as implied by his name, is a Chocobo handler operating in Wall Market. He appears as a fairly strong-built man who is likely to give Cloud valuable information on taking care of the energetic bird-like companions.
