Chadley and Battle Reports Feature
Final Fantasy 7 Remake is scheduled for release next month on April 10th. Ahead of its anticipated launch, more features to be included in the remake were revealed in a post on the official PlayStation blog. New screenshots from the post showed more of the upcoming title’s characters, including a boy named Chadley not found in the original game.
Who is Chadley?
As detailed on the blog post, Chadley is a 15-year-old research trainee who is studying new types of Materia. He is revealed to be working under Shinra scientist Hojo and asks Cloud to help him with his research. In exchange for Cloud’s assistance, Chadley will develop and sell Materia to the player.
Battle Reports
The player can talk to Chadley in Sector 7 slums to access side missions called Battle Reports. Chadley will develop new Materia and sell them after the player completes various objectives. Among these tasks are using the Assess materia to study enemies or force them into a staggered state a specific number of times.
Chadley’ is the second new character to debut in Final Fantasy 7 Remake. The first, Roche, was featured in the TGS 2019 trailer.
