Electric Type Pokemon
Pokemon belonging to the Electric type are known for their affinity with anything associated to thunder and lightning. Electric type Pokemon somewhat of a staple among Pokemon Gym Leaders and Trial Captains across various versions of the game with a lot of story characters preferring to train them for battle. Electric Type Pokemon are also quite popular in online battles owing to the fact that a lot of Electric-type moves can also paralyze opponents even until Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon.
Battle Properties
Electric Type Pokemon have advantages over certain types but also are at a disadvantage for some. They take double damage from Ground type Pokemon and half damage from Flying Steel and fellow Electric types. When attacking Electric Type Pokemon will deal double damage to Water and Flying types but half to Electric Grass and Dragon.

Dual Type
Electric type Pokemon can also have another type attributed to them which may either be advantageous or disadvantageous depending on their opponent’s own type (which may be single or dual as well).
Primary: Electric
A Dual-type Pokemon can have Electric as its primary or secondary type. It will not have any effect on what skills it can learn but will have variations in the stats it will distribute.
Electric/Steel
Electric/Steel Type Pokemon are greatly disadvantaged against Ground type Pokemon since both Electric Type Pokemon as well as Steel are weak (x2) against it. They have the advantage against Flying and Steel types.

Electric/Flying
Electric/Flying Pokemon take no damage from Ground type Pokemon (despite the former being part-Electric). They will take neutral damage from Electric types since their part-Electric will half the damage they would receive as being part-Flying as well.
