Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon - Will We Be Able to Travel to Kanto and Sinnoh: News

There are several leaked images that suggest that we may be able to travel to the Kanto and Sinnoh regions? Are these rumors true? Let's find out.

Kanto and Sinnoh in Ultra Sun and Moon?

Fans have been speculating that we may be able to go to the Kanto and Sinnoh regions in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon because of several images that were leaked and released to the public.

Kanto Region Gym?

As seen in the images below, one of the gyms in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon bears a striking resemble to Lt. Surge’s gym due to the placement of several “electric locks” on the floor. In Pokemon Red and Blue, players need to solve a puzzle involving the electric locks in order to reach Lt. Surge, and it seems that the same mechanic applies to the new gym.

However, it seems that this might not be the case, as there is a trainer wearing a karate outfit at the top right corner of the image. This trainer is not in Lt. Surge’s gym since his gym specializes in Electric types, while the trainer in question could be using Fighting types. In addition, the image also shows Ryuki talking to the protagonist. Ryuki uses Dragon-type Pokemon, which makes it more impossible for it to be an Electric-type gym. It seems possible that we may see more Kanto and Sinnoh region gyms if this is true.

Sinnoh Region Dark Cloud?

In the latest image of Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon’s map, one of the islands seems to have a spiraling dark cloud at the top of it. Coincidentally, this dark cloud is also seen in the Sinnoh region at the top of a mountain.

This dark cloud in Sinnoh Region gives access to Giratina, one of the legendary Pokemon in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. Could this cloud in Ultra Sun and Moon be a portal to the Sinnoh Region, or is it a portal to the Ultra Dimension, where Necrozma most likely resides?

If these rumors are true, then the addition of the Kanto and Sinnoh regions will make the game much longer and exciting for fans of the beloved franchise.

There is still no confirmation by Nintendo as to whether or not these rumors about Kanto and Sinnoh are true, but we may find out soon enough once Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon releases on November 17, 2017 exclusively for the Nintendo 3DS.
