Destiny 2 PC Release Date: October 24, 2017
Sadly, Destiny 2’s PC version will not release the same time as Destiny 2 on the PS4 and Xbox One. The developers plan to release Destiny 2 PC version on October 24, 2017. However, Activision has announced that Destiny 2 will be available for players via Battle.Net.
However, the Destiny 2 PC also has some Beta dates for players to take note of. This should help players decide whether or not they want to buy the game.
Initial Beta of Destiny 2 PC
The Initial Beta Testing date for Destiny 2 PC will happen on August 29, 2017. However, for those who pre-ordered, they get to play the game a day earlier (August 28, 2017) than those who are just trying it out. Unfortunately, the beta testing for the PC will only last three days. The end for the initial beta testing for Destiny 2 PC ends on August 31, 2017 which is less than a week before it comes out on the PS4 and the Xbox One.
What’s in the Destiny 2 PC Beta?
In the Destiny 2 PC Beta, players will be able to explore almost the same content as those who played on the PS4 and the Xbox One. Some of these features include the following:
- Opening Story Mission – Players, similarly to those who played the PS4 can play Homecoming. This is the opening story mission of Destiny 2 which the developers used to display the gameplay.
- Two Crucible Maps and Modes – Two modes: Control and Countdown will be available. There’s the classic Control mission. However, there’s the new Countdown mode which is similar to attacking and defending a base. However, PC players will have the Javelin-4 replace the Midtown map.
- Inverted Spire Strike – The co-operative Inverted Spire Strike is available also for PC players.
- New Sub-Classes – You’ll be able to try out the Warlock’s Dawnblade and Voidwalker, the Hunter’s Arcstrider and Gunslinger, and the Titan’s Sentinel and Striker abilities for yourself.
Unfortunately, The Farm doesn’t appear to be available to Destiny 2 PC players.
