The Prospector Grenade Launcher

The Prospector Grenade Launcher is an exotic power weapon that boasts high destructive capabilities, particularly against mobs of enemies. The weapon’s Excavation perk allows it to fire 5 grenades by holding down the R2 (Ps4) or RT (Xbox One). All grenades will detonate at the same time by releasing the button. The weapon also allows the player to fire it at fully-automatic mode by holding down the trigger.

The Prospector grenade launcher is one of the best weapons for clearing various mobs in PvE, though it will also be effective against enemy Guardians bunched up in Crucible matches. It should be noted that most grenade launchers in the game will require some practice to successfully place your shots. This one is no exception, as the player must be familiar to the grenade “bounce” that frequently occurs when firing these types of weapons. With enough experience, The Prospector grenade launcher can be a devastating weapon in both PvE and PvP.

The Prospector grenade launcher’s blast radius, handling speed and projectile speed can be improved with the Volatile Launch barrel perk. To increase the magazine size and reduce reload time, you can use the Augmented Drum for the magazine/battery. A Fitted Stock will also enhance the stability, recoil direction and handling speed even further.

How to Obtain The Prospector Grenade Launcher

The Prospector Grenade Launcher can be acquired from Quests, Heroic Public Events, PvE and PvP drops. Farming exotic engrams is also a good way to obtain the weapon.
