The Battle Buffet is a minigame found both in Pokemon Sun and Moon and Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. This article provides strategies to win the Buffet.

Battle Buffet Rules, Cuisine, Reward

battle buffet

In Battle buffet, the enemies can be knocked out within a total of 10 turns, and items can be obtained by getting the total score from cooking.

In the previous game, you could only play this challenge once a day, but in Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, you can play this minigame as many times as you want. However, it’s necessary to pay close attention as you will lose a lot of items for ingredients.

Battle Buffet Rules and Flow

Pay 1,200 Pokedollars at the checkout counter. Head over to the cooking counter to pick up the dish. There are four places where the cooking is lined up. A trainer can be seen standing next to each dish, also trying out the dish. When the player tries to cook, the trainer standing next to the dish will fight you. If you win, you can cook.

In a total of ten turns, you will be forced to return to your seat and eat. After the cooking the meal you can receive price items according to the overall satisfaction score. The higher satisfaction level, the better the price obtained.

Number of Cooks, Scoring Reward

◆About the number of dishes

The dishes lined up at the counter are placed at the time the Buffet starts. However, the number of dishes remaining decreases each time you fight another guest and the turn passes.

You can learn how much food is remaining by listening to what the chef is saying.

Number Comment
1 There’s hardly any food left now!
2 There’s not so much food left now!
3 There’s still plenty of food!
4 There’s still tons of food!
5 There’s still a mountain of food!

The greater the number of food left, the more you can obtain while winning. The satisfaction score will be higher if you eat as much as possible. However, popular dishes are quite expensive. Make sure to take popular dishes as much as possible. Remember to pay attention to the food decreasing in number due to the popularity of the cooking.

Popularity
(color of dish)
Reduced number of turns
Gold Decrease by 2 every turn
Silver Decrease by 1 every turn
Bronze Decrease by 1 every 2 turns

◆ About cooking scores and reward

The score differs depending on the popularity of the food. The total score will be higher if you eat popular items.

The satisfaction score is determined by the total number of cooked foods and the number of people who ate popular dishes. The reward depends on that satisfaction level.

Prize items Satisfaction score
Max Revive Very Satisfied
HP Up Satisfied
Big Mushroom Okay
Honey Unsatisfied

Battle Buffet Tips for obtaining Pokemon

All Pokemon appearing in Battle Buffet are around level 13 before entering the Hall of Fame, and uniformly level 55 after entering the Hall of Fame.

Since the elapsed turn becomes very important in Battle Buffet, if possible you ought to defeat the opponent in a few turns.

If you find trainers cannot be defeated in one turn lined up, it’s best to avoid them as much as possible.

It is better to avoid Pokemon with abilities like “Intimidate” or “Sturdy” because it will inevitably take a longer while to defeat.
