The Hard Light Auto Rifle is an energy weapon that is also an exotic auto rifle. This weapon is best for PVE rather than PVP. This exotic fires projectiles that pierce through targets and bounce of hard surfaces.

Stats of Hard Light Auto Rifle

Volatile Light allows your weapon to pierce through your enemies without damage reduction and ricocheting off the walls. Because of volatile light, you will be able to hit your enemies from a far with consistent damage. Meanwhile, polygonal rifling allows your barrels reduced recoil, increasing stability. An Alloy Magazine reduces reload time when the player empties the magazine. The interchangeable cores will alter the weapon’s damage type, while the composite stock increases stability and handling speed.This classic Destiny weapon features a number of perks: Volatile Light, Polygonal Rifling, Alloy Magazine, and interchangeable cores (Arc, Solar, Void), and Composite Stack. 

When you change the cores of this weapon, you’ll notice the holographic sight subtly change color to show what kind of energy core is being used.  This weapon is very, very useful for destroying shields of any element–especially in campaign missions / PVE missions where your enemies are wielding shields of varying energy cores. However, you have to make sure you can switch cores safely.

How to Obtain Hard Light
