Sunshot Hand Cannon

The sunshot is one of three exotic weapons you can get in the campaign. This weapon is incredibly OP against all solar-weak enemies.

Stats of the Sunshot Hand Cannon

When killing enemies with this weapon, stand back and expect them to explode due to the power of the Sunshot hand cannon’s projectiles.On its own, the Sunshot Hand Cannon has the Sunburn perk: the weapon carries an explosive package of 8 shots, blasting your enemies to pieces. Along with the funky, fiery sights, this weapon can highlight targets that take more damage from the hand cannon. Meanwhile you can attach a Chambered Compensator to stabilize the weapon, improve recoil, but with the tradeoff of decreasing your handling speed. Next, you can add Accurized Rounds for the weapon to fire at longer ranges. Finally, you can add a textured grip that increases handling speed and slightly decreases stability.

How to Obtain the Sunshot

This hand cannon will be available on Io. Before you do Ikora’s first mission, head over to Asher Mir – Fragmented Researcher in the northern part of the Rupture — near the path to Lost Oasis. Once you finish the quest you can choose between three exotic weapons: the Graviton Lance, Riskrunner, and this weapon. You should only pick this weapon if you’re a Gunslinger or are a big fan of revolvers. It doesn’t have much merit over Riskrunner or Graviton Lance apart from its high-explosive capabilities upon enemy death.
