MIDA Multi-Tool Rifle

The MIDA Multi-Tool is a powerful scout rifle that first appeared in the first Destiny game. It is an interesting and useful weapon, allowing the player to gain additional movement speed if equipped with the MIDA Mini-Tool submachine gun. Aside from this, it can push back enemies with the High-Caliber Rounds perk which also boosts its range. It is a very reliable weapon overall, though a bit tedious to actually obtain in the game.

The MIDA Multi-Tool has generally higher stats compared to the Skyburner’s Oath, though the latter has slightly higher stability. It is highly recommended to use the MIDA Multi-Tool together with the MIDA Mini-tool to enjoy the full benefits of the pairings, especially since the boost in movement speed is always useful in both PvE and PvP. It is important to note however that the movement speed buff will not stack with the effects of the Transversive Steps leg armor.

Other perk options include Corkscrew Rifling (Sights/Barrel) to improve range, stability and handling speed. To get even better stability, you can opt to have the Hand-Laid Stock to reduce recoil. The MIDA Radar trait is also a decent feature that allows the radar to be active even when aimed down the sights.

How to Obtain the MIDA Multi-Tool

To be able to acquire the MIDA Multi-Tool, you will need to finish all main story missions (including all EDZ follow-up missions). Once you have complete them, Devrim Kay will reward you with the MIDA Mini-Tool as a reward for a quest. You will then need to complete a series of quests, namely:

• Sight, Shoot, Repeat – Perform 50 precision kills
• Multi Kills – Perform 25 normal kills with a scout rifle with no reloads
• Under the Hood – Dismantle 5 Rare or Legendary rarity scout rifles
• The Fall Will Kill You – Perform 50 airborne kills using a submachine gun.

After finishing all the quests listed above, you will receive the MIDA Multi-Tool when return to Banshee-44.
