This is a Prey walkthrough on the mission, “First day on the Job.” This includes objectives, items and enemies encountered.
Objective 1 – Put on your TranStar uniform
When you wake up, take the time to walk around and explore your apartment. You can read a latter from your brother Alex on the counter just ahead. You can also take the Kings & Way Wine bottle there. Then, look to your right to the other counter and check the lower cabinet to find Sun-Dried Tomato Jerky.
Turn around to your work desk and pick up the Burnt Circuit Board, Used Plastic Tubing and on the left of the table Frayed Wire.
When you’re ready, just interact with the TranStar Uniform hanging on the door to put it on and head out.

Objective 2 – Get in the helicopter on the roof
Outside your apartment, head for the objective marker. You can talk to Patricia Varma fixing some pipes in the corridor. As you approach the elevator, you’ll be given some tutorials on how to jump, crouch, sprint and slide. Then, head for the elevator and head to the roof. Walk to the door at the end of the corridor and get out onto the helipad and board the helicopter.

Objective 3 – Report to the Test Center
When you land, enter the building and talk to the Science Operator. Then, get on the elevator and confirm the destination to the Test Facility. When you get to the Test Center, you’ll be greeted by Alex. After talking to him, begin the tests by proceeding to the room at the end of the hall.
You’ll be guided by Dr. Bellamy during the tests. Just follow his instructions, moving to the next room each time you complete a test. Each of the rooms will serve as tutorials of basic movement and interaction of objects in the game.

In the last room with the console, Dr. Bellamy will instruct you to answer some questions. A cutscene will soon play. When you come to, you’ll just need to repeat the things you did from the first and second objective (remember to grab the items you did the first time).
When you go out of the apartment again, things will be very different. Grab the wrench near the corpse of Patricia Vamar. Search her to get Spare Parts as well.

You’ll then receive a call from someone called January who tells you that you are in danger. The next walkthrough continues in Break Out.
