The Coldheart Trace Rifle is a weapon that fires a steady cold fusion-powered laser beam. This weapon is very unique, being the only trace weapon that you could use in-game. This weapon can’t be acquired outside of the pre-order for Destiny 2, though.

In-game, the Coldheart Trace Rifle was apparently a rifle created by the people of Omolon after the fall of the Golden Age. The Omolon Foundry of post-GA earth created it, along with its liquid ammunition (which functions as its own coolant). This weapon is the first-of-its-kind laser-powered trace weaponry.

Stats of the Coldheart

The cold heart’s weapon perks make it a force to be reckoned with in the battlefield. With the intrinsic perk Cold Fusion, this weapon shoots a unique kind of laser. The extended barrel allows an increase of range, but decreases handling speed. Enhanced Battery increases magazine size, while Longest Winter allows the gun to deal more damage the longer the beam remains on a target. Finally, a Hand-Laid Stock is at hand optimized for recoil, increasing stability.

Trace weapons are weaponry that fires a concentrated beam of energy that deals damage over time–basically beam weaponry.

Obtaining the Coldheart

This exotic weapon can only be obtained by pre-ordering Destiny 2. However, this doesn’t mean you get the weapon immediately. You will have to  complete all story missions and reach Level 20. Afterwards, travel to the Gunsmith in the Tower in order to obtain the Coldheart.
