How to Get the Kaido Maru Armor Set [Nioh]

In Nioh, there are various armor sets that give specific bonuses that synergize with different styles of play. One interesting armor set to obtain is the Kaido Maru Armor Set worn by Sakata Kintoki, the master of the axe. The set’s attributes and stats make for a good armor while wielding Axes like Kintoki. Wearing all five armor pieces (Kaido Armor: Hachimaki (head), Do (torso), Kote (arm), Hizayoroi (legs) and Suneate (feet), as well as wielding the Kaido Axe grants the Kaido Maru set bonus.

How to Get the Kaido Maru Armor Set

The entire set can be obtained in the Main Mission The Source of Evil from all the Yokai encountered in the level. You can also do the Sub Mission Greater Demon Hunting to obtain the Kaido Armor: Do (torso) piece.

For getting the Kaido Axe, you can try and farm it from the wielder himself, Sakata Kintoki in the Dojo Mission The Invincible (though you’ll need to have 500,000 proficiency with the axe to unlock it, as well as having completed the Main Mission Immortal Flame).

The Kaido Maru Set Bonus revolves around greater damage potential and with Sakata Kintoki’s weapon of choice, the Axe. Its bonuses mainly provide attack and defense buffs, and enhances the potential of certain Axe skills.
