Nioh - Farming Divine Weapons and Armor

This page contains a guide on how to farm Divine Weapons and Armor in Nioh on PS5 and PS4. Included are information on how to unlock them and suggested ways to acquire them.

Nioh and Nioh 2 (including all DLCs) are also bundled in the Nioh Collection on PS5.

There’s a lot more to do after you finish the Main Missions of Nioh. Among the more exciting aspects of end-game stuff that you can do is to farm Divine Weapons and Armor — the best kinds of equipment in the game.

Farming Divine Weapons and Armor

After beating the Main Mission, you will unlock an extra one called The Queen’s Eyes which pits you against the Hundred Eyes. After you’ve beaten the extra Mission, you will be able to access The Way of the Strong game mode, essentially Nioh’s version of New Game Plus.

The Way of the Strong Mode is a massive jump in terms of the difficulty, with stronger enemies and bosses. However, you will be able to obtain Divine Weapons and Armor in this mode, as indicated by green colored equipment in the rewards and those dropped by enemies.

As being the most powerful of all equipment in the game, the chance of obtaining Divine Weapons and Armor is quite low. To increase the drop rate of Divine Weapons and Armor (or rate of obtaining them as rewards), you can use Ochoko Cups before the start of any Mission in The Way of the Strong mode. You can check out our guide on how to farm Ochoko Cups here.

Good Missions to farm Divine Weapons include the Isle of Demons (Main), Bridge of Bone (Sub), the Battle of Ohashi Bridge and the Squirming Sprite (Twilight), as these levels have areas with a lot of Revenants. In the process, you will also be able to farm Ochoko Cups as you defeat them in each Mission for use in increasing the drop rate of Divine Weapons and Armor. You will also be able to earn Glory from these Missions.

Farming Unique Weapons and Armor in New Game Plus will give you some of the best equipment in the game, but expect fights to be extremely challenging (especially bosses).
