The Twilight Mission The Bearer of Ill Tidings takes place in a mountainous cave. There is an eerie red glow in the area and William must find out the cause of the unusual phenomenon.
Twilight Mission – Bearer of Ill Tidings Walkthrough
Your mission will be to kill an Onmyo Mage hiding deep in the cavernous holdout. As soon as the mission starts, proceed forward from the shrine. You will come up to a hulking Yokai with an axe. Take him and out, then head for the path under the arc ahead. You will soon encounter a ninja where the path splits. Kill the ninja, then take the path on the left and follow it. The path will bend to the right this time where a samurai will attack you. Defeat him and continue on the path.
Soon you will come to an area where you can drop down from a long ladder. Be careful when you reach the lower area, as there will be a large axe-wielding yokai again, and a winged yokai that will appear in the portal near the door. You can also choose to fight the revenant before the door. Afterwards, open the door to the next area.
The next area takes you to a set of descending steps. Follow the stairs down and open the door at the end. You will come to another area with another group of enemies (a winged yokai that will appear in the portal and two yokai talismans that will transform into Oni-bi). Remember to take out the Oni-bis first, as they will prove quite annoying while dodging the winged yokai’s attacks. Finish of the winged yokai, then open the door to the enter the building ahead for a boss fight.

Saika Magoichi’s attack patterns are just the same as his version in the Main Mission Immortal Flame. As always, he heavily employs his hit-and-run tactics, so stay mobile as well to keep up with him. This is also a good time to farm the Saika Yatagarasu Armor Set from him.
After you’ve defeated him, he will drop the Onmyo Grotto Key which unlock the next room to your target, an Onmyo Mage. Open the series of doors that go deeper into the holding. The Onmyo Mage will be cooped up in a small room. He is quite easy to defeat, as he does not have high defense. After you’ve killed him, the mission will be completed.
