Prey is coming this May 5, and the synth-laced science fiction first person action-adventure video game is slowly, subtly hyping up its growing fanbase. And now, we learn that not only is there an intriguing, almost lovecraftian story with the typhon and its origins, we also discover that the world of Talos-1 is a world that recycles.

Earth day happened a few days ago, and it isn’t a coincidence that Prey is riding its coattails–for good, anyway. And stylishly.

Here’s what Bethesda wrote in the description:

“Earth Day might be all about our planet… but that won’t stop us from celebrating while aboard Talos I. In honor of the global holiday, we took a moment to tidy up our orbiting space station, recycling anything and everything we could find, then using the handy Recycler Charge to clean up some more. From trash to treasures to Typhon aliens, we’re going green in the most awesome way imaginable.”

A Break Down

The trailer features the use of a material recycler. You can literally recycle everything. Some of these things include:

  • Game controllers
  • Headphones
  • Candy
  • Nerf Dart
  • A Globe
  • Eel prototype jar
  • Mittens

recycle everythingWe also get to see the recycler charge in action. Now we know that you can stick the RC charge into a GLOO’d enemy (or anything at all!)  to recycle it. Finally–and most surprising, we get to see the very moon itself get sucked into a recycler charge.
