In Nioh, there are various armor sets that give specific bonuses that synergize with different styles of play. One very interesting set is the Saika Yatagarasu Armor Set Set worn by Saika Magoichi, one of the formidable samurai encountered in the Main Mission Immortal Flame. The entire armor set consists of the Yatagarasu Armor: Hitaiate (Head), Do (Torso), Kote (Arms), Hizayoroi (Legs) and Suneate (Feet). You will be granted the set bonus Saika’s Yatagarasu by also wielding the Haccho Nenbutsu (katana) and Ravenwing Rifle (rifle).
How to Get the Saika Yatagarasu Armor Set
The entire armor set and weapons can be farmed from its wearer, Saika Magoichi in the Main Mission Immortal Flame (click here to read our Saika Magoichi Boss Guide). You can also obtain Smithing Text to craft pieces of the Fanatic’s Armor Set in the level.
True enough to Saika Magoichi’s combat style (if you choose to wear all pieces of the armor as well as the weapons), you’ll have access to a rifle while employing close combat tactics when the need arises. This makes for a very interesting playstyle based on the winged samurai himself.
