Great Centipede Boss Guide
This boss is encountered in the Silver Mine Writhes Main Mission. The Great Centipede is the seventh boss that William will encounter in Nioh. Its appearance is that of a mutant centipede, with a face resembling a flaming skull, containing 2 huge horn-like mandibles protruding on both sides of its mouth.

First Phase
Currently, there are no recommended Weapons to use, however the Spear seems to be consistent to achieve combos in conjunction with its long reach. As soon as the battle starts, time your dodge correctly then follow with light attacks on its legs. If you manage to knock it out, some of its appendages begin to separate. This enables you to land combos freely to its head. It becomes considerably shorter by the time it gets back up.
Second Phase
By the time it shifts to the second phase, make sure to get behind it then perform the low stance and deliver light strikes on its hind legs. When the Great Centipede decides to do a 180 degree turn, execute the Block then reach for its back again.
The technique is to repeat this process since even if you get hit by its gaping mouth as it turns, you won’t suffer as much damage in comparison to engaging it head on from its facade. Basically, you need to prevent the AI from launching its other more dangerous attacks which it dispatches from the front.
