Ogress Boss Guide

William encounters the twenty first boss, Ogress in Memories of Death-Lilies Main Mission.

First Phase

Although there is no particular weapon recommended when fighting her, the low stance works well. Recall your strategy of battling Onryoki as this will be similar. When the battle starts, step back to perform a dodge in order to replenish your Ki. Keep dodging to the left (since it minimizes her chance of landing an attack on you as opposed to the opposite side) to avoid her attacks, then follow up with a side strike.

Light attacks work very well, continue to dodge. When dealing damage, be wary of her Area of Effect, a good indicator is her upward jump. Instead of Blocking, do a backroll or just dash away.

Second Phase

By the time her health has dropped below a certain amount, she becomes aggravated and spams jumps at long distances. It becomes much more difficult to dodge her attacks at this stage, thus if you suffer any damage even when you’re dodging, simply pop some health potions. By the time she has sustained beyond 75% worth of damage, activate the Living Weapon and aim for the kill.
