Nioh and Nioh 2 (including all DLCs) are also bundled in the Nioh Collection on PS5.
The “Greater Demon Hunting” sub mission is the third time you will encounter the massive Onryoki in Team Ninja’s Nioh.
Sub Mission – Greater Demon Hunting Walkthrough
This battle may feel a bit easier than the first time you faced him back in the Isle of Demons and Demon Hunting missions, since you have the advantage of experience, better equipment and magic on your side, as well as a huge battlefield that gives you more room to dodge his attacks.
Onryoki won’t have his twin ball-and-chains, relying instead on a big fist smash followed by a claw swipe, and an occasional belly flop. It won’t be a walk in the park, though, as the big guy gets to deal higher damage than before. To even out the odds a bit, you will get an assist from a surprise ally: Sakata Kintoki.
Taking Onryoki out for this sub-mission is no different than the first time you fought him inside the ship: keep dodging his attacks, and positioning yourself behind him. Hit him after he delivers any of his attacks, as he will stop for a bit before attacking again. Pace yourself and don’t get greedy for hits, though, as you might get hit by his followup strike if you keep close for too long. Besides, Kintoki will get in some hits on his own as well.
