Origins
Jaguar Man is a Pseudo-Servant summoned into the body of Taiga Fujimura.
The Jaguar has been a symbol of death and war among Central Africans and South Americans. When it would choose, Jaguar Man would sometimes show up in the world from time to time. During the Olmec period, people believed that Jaguar Man had the blood of both Jaguar and Man. This made it neither Jaguar or a Were-Jaguar.
When asked about Jaguar Man, people often describe Jaguar Man as a nagual. A nagual is a shadowy and supernatural guardian spirit that watched over humans for the gods. Some even say that the gods can grant a regular human a nagual. According to mythology, Tezcatlipoca, a chief of one of the Aztec tribes, worshipped the gods in the Aztec temple. By doing so, the gods then granted him a nagual which granted him super strength.
As the grail summoned Jaguar Man, it found Taiga Fujimura to have the most likening to a Jaguar among all the humans connected to the Holy Grail War. Thus, it chose Taiga as its vessel.
