Altria Pendragon Saber

  • Altria Pendragon can be a good servant early game as her kit is very beginner friendly. Her Charisma can boost the attack of all servants on the field with her Mana Burst improving the damage of her Excalibur. Stacking that with Instant Enhancement can make quick work of battles.
  • Servants that can work well with Altria if you want to go for an Arts/Buster would be Elisabeth Bathory (Halloween) and Francis Drake. While Francis Drake has two Arts cards in her deck, Elisabeth Bathory (Halloween) has 3 Arts cards. This would easily give Altria a chance to fuel up her Noble Phantasm.
    • Once the three have completed their noble phantasm gauge to at least 100%, the player can perform a Buster Noble Phantasm Chain.
    • Sequence would be: Mana Burst (Elisabeth Bathory Halloween) → Mana Burst (Altria Pendragon) → Charisma (Altria Pendragon) → Voyager of the Storm (Francis Drake) → Instant Enhancement (Mystic Code) → Buster Noble Phantasm Chain (Francis Drake → Altria Pendragon → Elisabeth Bathory Halloween).
    • Doing this combination can easily wipe out an enemy. However, the chain provided above assumes that one’s Elisabeth Bathory Halloween has her Noble Phantasm at level 5. Doing so will give her a chance to reach 500% if placed at the end of the chain with her gauge at 300%.
  • Another servant who would work well with Altria is Heracles. However, take note – as a Berserker, he barely has any sustain and Arts cards. If he’s equipped with Kaleidoscope and in a team, the team can go two ways. Either, have a Caster class servant with a Buster NP like Mephistopheles, Gilles De Rais, or Elisabeth Bathory (Halloween) to go for damage. Or, you can also go Leonidas to sustain and keep Heracles alive.
    • Once with full NP gauge, Heracles can deal the first blow to inflict the defense debuff while Altria stays at the back of the chain to make use of her overcharge effect to gain almost 50% of her NP gauge back.
  • William Shakespeare can also be ideal by using Enchant to increase her Buster Card performance on top of her Mana Burst.

Recommended Craft Essence

  • The ATK/DEF Craft EssenceIron-Willed Training is recommended, however be sure to reinforce this first.
  • With its Defense boost, it pairs well with Altria’s naturally high HP.
  • For longer battles, Prisma Cosmos is a great Craft Essence that gives her constant NP regeneration, so that she can consistently use her Noble Phantasm. This way, the team will not have to be restricted to Arts servants to force Altria’s NP Gauge to fill up.
  • In terms of NP based builds, Kaleidoscope and The Imaginary Element are also superb choices to accommodate lower cost Craft Essences.
  • Another NP generating Craft Essence is Divine Banquet which increases her NP charge by 25%.
    • If not Divine Banquet, the cheapest one imaginable currently is Concentration.
  • Unless one wants a NP start build, Dragon’s Meridian is a cheaper alternative.
  • Halloween Princess will give Altria that extra edge she needs when unleashing her Noble Phantasm.

Many people knew of King Arthur and his history.

But no one knew Arturia Pendragon’s History.

When Uther Pendragon ruled Camelot, most people knew he had a son. However, there is another legend in which King Arthur is actually a woman. A young woman who went under the name Altria Pendragon Saber also became the King of Britain and Camelot.

As a child, King Arthur went with the name Altria Pendragon. No one expected that she would be the one who would pull out the sword of promised victory. Carrying the Pendragon blood in her veins, Altria Pendragon Saber fulfilled Merlin’s prophecy as to who shall wield Excalibur. Upon preparing to wield Excalibur, Altria Pendragon Saber gave up her feminitiy to assume her position as king.

When Altria Pendragon Saber drew out the sword Excalibur, she resolved to become the king of England. She battled against the many invading forces, along with building a new brotherhood: the Knights of the Round Table. Hence gaining the moniker – the “King of Knights”, Queen Altria Pendragon Saber resolved to rule Camelot to the best of her ability.

As Camelot thrived, Altria Pendragon Saber failed to notice the unrest among the knights of the round table. The arrival of Galahad and his seat at the Siege Perilous then marked the fall of Camelot. Soon, knights warred against one another. Lancelot, in love with Altria Pendragon Saber’s wife Guinevere, proceeded to kill Gaheris and Garrett. During this unrest, Mordred took advantage of it and began the famous battle of Camlann. Altria emerged victorious but swooned away after taking the blow from Mordred.

As she prepared to die, Altria Pendragon Saber requested her knight, Bedivere to cast Excalibur into the lake. After casting the sword into the lake, Altria journeys to Avalon with Morgan Le Fay. Some say she will return. Some say she has died from her wounds. But she now returns as a hero and as a warrior for the Holy Grail war.

  1. “The ATK/DEF Craft Essence – Iron-Willed Training is recommended, however be sure to reinforce this first.”
Sure let put more armour on your laser cannon instead of actual fuel for its to work.
Seriously what happened to CE like Dragon’s Meridian,K scope and Imaginary Element

    • I don’t fully understand the Iron Willed Training part either. I guess if you were unfortunate to not pull a tank, then maybe she’s a decent substitute? but the author said “It’s recommended”.. so is it because she’ll go further with Iron Willed Training during endgame?

      • I think the author meant that it may work in a sense that it’ll reinforce her already high base HP. Giving her Iron-Willed Training will at least allow her to survive incoming attack especially those from Archer class servants. 🙂

        • She has no defensive skill, no damage mitigation, no heal, no defense buff. The moment her archer enemies finish charging their np, Iron Willed or not she is done.

        • Sorry but Gilgamesh will actually succeed in raping her this time around even when iron willed. Not a tank for sure. Not even the slightest bit.

    • This is a unique build I think. If they don’t have a decent tank, Altria can seve as a tank for the mean time until they can find a full defense based servant.

However, it only works for awhile. People do often times either give her Divine Banquet or Dragon’s Meridian if they don’t have Imaginary Element or Kaleidoscope.
