White Tiger Boss Guide
White Tiger is boss encountered in the Main Mission The Demon of Mount Hiei.
White Tiger is slightly similar to Nue, the boss you face in the game’s Mission Level 19, both in terms of appearance as well as combat style, but he demands a different approach from the player when it comes to defeating him.
To begin with, White Tiger is faster and more agile than Nue. He can spin into a 180-degree turn in a split second. His wings can also be used for combat, hitting William as he turns around. He rakes William with his claws from time to time, instead of the pounce that Nue does. Finally, he can shoot a powerful beam from his mouth, or fly up and throw fireballs.
However, White Tiger gives up his back to William as much as Nue does. Concentrate Spear-based attacks in Low Stance on his flanks and rear to deal as much damage without getting in his way as he spins from back to front. The leftward dodge that was relatively successful against Nue won’t do against this particular boss, since his beam shot covers a wider area.
When you get his health down to about 40%, hit White Tiger with a Living Weapon attack to finish him off quickly. TIP: There’s a hot spring in the area to recover your health should you need it.
