Yamata-no-Orochi Boss Guide
This boss will be encountered by William during The Demon King Revealed Main Mission.
Considered the last ‘story’ boss, however there are more bosses after you defeat it. He takes the shape of a 5 headed hydra. They might differ in terms of each head endowed with a unique element, however their moves are the same.
When the battle begins, focus on one head at a time. Roughly 20 yards is a safe distance to attack it. A good indicator of when Yamata-no-Orochi is about to unleash a devastating attack is when it twists its head, therefore it’s best to dodge it by backing away or backing away then performing doing a quick roll. If it misses you, proceed to execute several blows to the head with the high stance to achieve the best possible damage output. Although you might be tempted to guard, it’s better to go for a hit-and-run strategy, since it has a several guaranteed shots which you cannot block.
Move on a clockwise direction to avoid getting trapped in between. Take note of the left side as it is an open spot. Aim for one head at a time.
