Yuki-onna Boss Guide
William encounters the twelfth boss, Yuki-onna during the Falling Snow Main Mission. Yuki means snow in Japanese, thus she is basically an Ice Queen with the addition of being an adept lance wielder.
The recommended strategy is to utilize ranged Weapons such as a Rifle or Bow.
The primary strategy is to depend on ranged-type weapons in order to make quick work of her mediocre health points. Evade to the side when she casts projectiles at you, then step back when ice engulfs her surroundings.
Although she is quite frail, her forte lies in Close Quarters Combat. However, if you prefer to take her on using melee, be sure to act quickly since she will be summoning homing projectiles and ice Area of Effects to ensnare you. If she misses, as indicated by the event after she exhales ice or attempts to make a huge stomp on the ground, approach her immediately then deliver several hits. Repeat this process so that you deal at least greater than 50% worth of damage.
After she has sustained more than 50% worth of damage, she becomes more aggressive. The best way is to continue firing your Rifle or Bow to keep her at bay. However, in the event that you run out of shots, be sure to time your dodges carefully then strike her when she is vulnerable similar to her first phase’s albeit with a more strict timing.
You may also use the Guardian Spirit to finish the battle.
