Gem Magecraft: Antumbra – Critical Damage

The Gem Magecraft: Antumbra is a Critical Damage focused craft essence that increases the critical strength of a servant. However, this craft essence works best with two other servants who have C. Star Drop Rate Craft Essences in order to bring out its full power in FGO.

How to use

For Gem Magecraft: Antumbra, this works best with servants who have high C. Star Drop Rates and C. Star Gather Rates. One servant under that example would be Jack the Ripper who is currently FGO Na’s best Assassin class servant. In a single turn, she is capable of generating at least 30 C. Stars per turn which give her at least a 50% chance of inflicting Critical Hits. And if given Gem Magecraft: Antumbra, she can shatter the 100,000 barrier and deal heavy damage against bosses.

However, the main issue with this craft essence is that it makes the servant a bit soft. And Jack the Ripper does not need to be any softer. Though she has one Evade skill that also improves the performance of her Quick Card, this makes her more of a glass cannon. Jing Ke can also use this since her skills – Restrain and Planning – focus on the two other aspects: C. Star Gathering and C. Star Drop Rates.

Cu Chulainn and Cu Chulainn Prototype are also reliant on Critical Strength. Especially Cu Chulainn Prototype, who has Runes that increase his Critical Strength unlike the original Cu Chulainn who has Battle Continuation and Disengage.
