Strategy

  • Mash Kyrielight is the unique Shielder-class Servant, and she boasts unparalleled defensive capabilities.
  • She does not have much offensive power to speak of, however, so she needs to rely almost entirely on her allies to do
    the damage-dealing for her.
  • With 2 Buster Cards, 2 Arts Cards, and 1 Quick Card, she can help trigger Buster Chains and Arts Chains to either boost damage or generate NP.
  • For her skills, all of them are useful for Mash to carry out her tanking duty, but Wall of Fuming Chalk is one of the most important to level up first. It grants an ally complete invincibility for a turn, and also charges
their NP Gauge. As it goes up in levels, its cooldown goes down, and the NP charge increases up to 20%.
  • Her Noble Phantasm, Lord Chaldeas, is already pretty useful on its own, but once it upgrades to Lord Camelot (after finishing the Camelot chapter), it has the added benefit of buffing her allies’ ATK. With this, she can help
her party members finish off the enemies while protecting them at the same time.
  • Elisabeth Bathory makes a good
teammate for Mash. Sadistic Charisma boosts the party’s ATK, and Torture Technique lowers an enemy’s DEF. With these two skills combined, she can boost the party’s offensive capabilities while Mash
takes care of defense. This would make all-female parties especially powerful.
  • Berserker-class Servants, in general, appreciate her defensive support greatly. Heracles is a very good example. While Mash protects Heracles from attacks, he can go wreck havoc on enemy lines. Heracles excels
in taking down single targets, but not waves of enemies, so Mash will give him sufficient longevity to defeat targets
    one by one.

    • Other Berserker-class Servants work just as well, such as Vlad III,
      Lancelot, or Kiyohime.
They all greatly appreciate Mash’s defensive skills, as well as the NP charge from Wall of Fuming Chalk to
help them fire off their strong Noble Phantasms.
  • Overall, Mash can fit on many teams needing some defensive support, but she’d need good damage-dealers for them to win
    battles.

Best Equipment

  • Mash appreciates Craft Essences that boost her NP gain, or those that boost her defenses even further.
  • For NP generation, Divine Banquet is a good CE that boosts NP generation by 25-30%. Alternatively, for longer battles, there’s also Prisma Cosmos,
which gives her constant NP regeneration every turn.
  • Meanwhile, Kaleidoscope lets
her start the battle with 80-100% NP, letting her use her Noble Phantasm almost right off the bat.
  • Iron-Willed Training gives
Mash even stronger defenses, boosting DEF by 15-20%.

Origins

Using the form of Mash Kyrielight, a Chaldea clerk had an accident and underwent a fusion with a servant. After that, she
became a half-servant and half human. Thus, Mashu Kyrielight became what people know as a Demi-Servant. However, Mash learned
the name of the heroic spirit within her. Within her body, Mash holds the spirit of Galahad. As one of the members of the
knights of the round table, Galahad served under King Arthur/
Arturia Pendragon. She also retains
certain memories about Lancelot and
Gawain as they were allies. However, his times
were the knights were short-lived. After discovering the Holy Grail, he disappeared with the Grail. From then on, nobody
knew where he was. While Chaldea used the usual method, she had the proper catalyst. The catalyst to summon him was the a
shield. It bore a piece of the Round Table that all the knights sat in, summoning Galahad.
