Origins
Coming from around the 10th century, Minamoto no Yoritsumu is the eldest of the Minamoto children. She is also Settsu Genji’s founder. From here, she gained a lot of notoriety for spearheading some projects.
As Ox-Head King’s successor, Yorimitsu was left and held captive by her paternal figure. Her father’s cognizance to the fact that she is gifted with exceptional wisdom, was enough proof for him to reinstate her place in the family to be identified as the son. To split herself away from the oni, it was thus necessary to remove the latter.
She is also depicted to have defeated a number of creatures, including her own brother when he transformed into an oni. Yorimitsu guided her Four Heavenly Kings in order to secure peace to the capital.
