Strategy
- Scathach has high sustainability similar to her student, Cu Chulainn, Cu Chulainn (Caster), Cu Chulainn (Prototype). However, while the Cu Chulainn servants focus more on survivability – Scathach also boosts her capacity deal Critical Damage against enemies. This is seen from her Wisdom of the Abyss ability which can stack on top of her Primeval Rune skill, further boosting her Quick Card performance and damage.
- Godslayer is fearsome especially against enemy servants such as Orion and Ishtar or any servant that has the Divinity Trait. Her skill also allows her to fight Undead enemies, sweeping through them quickly.
- She works well with Okita Souji and Jack the Ripper due to their ability to gather a large amount of Critical Stars. Other servants who can also serve the same purpose would be Jing Ke, Hassan of the Cursed Arm and, Medusa. All those who have multiple Quick Cards.
- Another servant that can work well with her is Julius Caesar due to his Incite ability. Altria Pendragon can also bolster the amount of critical stars, giving Scathach a higher chance of dealing critical hits.
- Hans Christian Andersen can increase the number of Critical Stars per turn using his Innocent Monster skill. His noble phantasm also grants HP recovery, allowing Scathach to survive longer in combat. Another servant with this particular ability is also Phantom of the Opera who also uses Innocent Monster, minus the HP recovery.
- EMIYA‘s Clairvoyance ability can also help her. The fact that he can also sustain himself and help chain Arts cards will allow her to charge her NP faster.
- Diarmuid Ua Duibhne also has several Quick Cards which can also help her perform Quick Chains should she only draw one for that turn.
- Zhuge Liang can use Tactician’s Command, Tactician’s Advise, and Discerning Eye for her to immediately use her Noble Phantasm which stuns the enemy.
- Scathach can also pair with Charles Henri Sanson who’s known also to draw out 3 Quick Cards.
Best Equipment
- Seal Designation Enforcer increases the amount of Critical Stars gathered. This can work well with the fact that she has three Quick Cards in her deck. Plus, she also has Primeval Rune and Wisdom of the Abyss which can push her critical attack ratio better.
- Rin’s Pendant is a cheaper alternative which increases her critical hit damage.
- Imaginary Around will boost her 3 Quick Card’s performance by 25%. Stacking that with Primeval Rune will make her a deadly foe.

Origins
People knew Scathach commonly as the mentor of Cu Chulainn. However, she is more than that. Scathach is the warrior queen of Celtic mythology. She is the woman who is a master at both the spear and rune magic. Scathach lives at the Land of Shadows as its gatekeeper, fighting countless demons and ghosts from letting it devour the living.
Because of this however, she is unable to die. Scathach had become immortal. Not just because of skill alone but also because of her power. She has the personality of a monarch; Scathach listens to no one. However, she will still take pupils such as Cu Chulainn and his son, Connla. Among all her students, only Cu Chulainn proved worthy to inherit the Gae Bolg. As far as she was concerned, that spear showed no mercy. Nobody could withstand or block the blow as long as Cu Chulainn or she used the spear.
