Strategy
- Shapeshift applies a significant amount of Defense buff, especially during the first turn. Whereas the Witchcraft is another crippling Skill that can turn the tides of battle if it connects.
- Similar to Vlad III, Tamamo no Mae excels in Arts Command Cards since she shares the same NP-type.
- One of her highlights is her Noble Phantasm, since this complements her allies’ Arts Cards. Through this function, it is possible to build a team around her.
- Her NP not only enhances Arts effectiveness when executed through a chain, but as support it restores HP. The main selling point of this NP is the effect of lowering the Cooldown of her allies. Be sure to consider the status of the allies’ Skill before unleashing the NP.
- Focus on raising her Fox’s Wedding Skill to improve an ally’s Arts effectiveness consistently while gradually reducing the Cooldown to a minimum.
- Compatible servants include Vlad III who shares the same NP-type. He appreciates the lowered Cooldown of his Skills namely Vampirism and his own Shapeshift to increase his longevity.
- Another teammate that shares the same NP-type is Robin Hood. Apart from being a low rarity servant that is relatively easy to obtain, he deals significant damage with his NP right after spreading Poison. The Skill will continue to shine during longer battles especially when Tamamo’s NP triggers the Skill’s lowered Cooldown.
Best Equipment
- In order to address Tamamo no Mae’s lackluster NP gain and attack power, she needs additional support from Craft Essences such as Prisma Cosmos. With this setup, she can easily max her NP without having to take multiple hits from enemies. This is better during long enduring battles as opposed to other inferior Craft Essences that bestow NP gains.

Origins
Tamamo no Mae is a figure in Japanese Mythology known as a miko shaman during the Heian Period.
She once served the retired Emperor Toba, and was said to be the disguised appearance of the nine-tailed fox named Hakumen Kinmou.
During her last days on earth, she was chased away from the imperial court, having killed numerous humans in an attempt to run away from them. Nobody knows what really happened in the end, but some accounts state that Tamamo no Mae either escaped the clutches of the imperial court or she was killed by them.
