In Nioh, there are various armor sets that give specific bonuses that synergize with different styles of play. One interesting armor set to obtain is the Ebony Armor set worn by Obsidian Samurai, a formidable warrior who wields an Axe and a Katana William encounters in the Main Mission The Samurai from Sawayama. The set consists of the Ebony Armor: Kabuto (Head), Do (Torso), Kote (Arms), Hizayoroi (Legs) and Suneate (Feet). You’ll also need to wield his Axe and Katana, Gozutenno’s Axe and Hoshi-kiri respectively to activate the set bonus Samurai from Dark Lands.

Alternatiely, the the armor set can also be dropped by the four sub Bosses (consisting of Onryoki, Hino-enma, Joro-gumo and Nue) before fighting Oda Nobunaga in the Main Mission The Demon King Revealed.

The Samurai From Dark Lands Set Bonus provides mostly attack and defense buffs, as well as the very useful extended duration of the Axe Skill Rage. It is among the most useful armor sets that synergizes well with its matching weapon type, as with the Kaido Maru Armor Set.
